Anthony Hill Jr., 5-star linebacker, commits to Texas A&M Aggies over Texas

It’s only fitting that the month of July sees college football recruiting explode.

Another massive recruit came off the board on Saturday.

Ryan High School (Texas) Five Star View Anthony Hill Jr.the Nation’s #1 linebackerannounced his commitment to the Texas A&M Aggies over Texas, becoming the highest-rated linebacker pledge in program history:

As a junior, Hill was one of the most prolific defensemen in the country, averaging 131 total tackles with 18 tackles-for-loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

According to 247Sports, Hill plans a future high NFL draft pick:

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound backer immediately becomes the headliner of Texas A&M’s recruit class, eclipsing four-star La Grange cornerback Bravion Rogers, the nation’s No. 4 cornerback.

So far, the seven-man group ranks No. 55 nationallybut that shouldn’t bother Aggie fans.

Last year, Jimbo Fisher’s program finished in the best recruiting class in the country but got off to a slow start during the summer months.

Once again, Texas A&M is trying to make a massive push.

Hill is an excellent base.
