The Daily Vehicle Park Pass fee for each of Colorado’s 41 state parks will be increased effective March 1, 2020.
The price of the pass will increase by $1.
This means a Daily Vehicle Park Pass now costs $9 for most parks, $10 for Chatfield, Boyd Lake, and Eldorado Canyon State Parks, and $11 for Cherry Creek. According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Cherry Creek’s $11 price tag is due to the Cherry Creek Water Basin Authority fee. Entry fees for the Annual Park Pass and Commercial Park Pass will remain the same in 2020.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), the CPW Commission approved the increase in the daily vehicle pass fee in January 2020 to help the agency deal with the increase in maintenance needs and operating costs associated with the growing number of park visitors.
CPW said the fee increase is a helpful step in protecting our natural resources for future generations and ensuring adequate funding and programming for parkland conservation.
